Active tuning s4.1 grille

Anyone heard anything bad about the s4.1 grille?
I'm in the market for a new grill. Stock one is flaking. I'm looking to tone down the amount of chrome on the car. Was thinking of getting it with the oval holes, powdercoated, onyx to match the rest, w/ the nissan burger. The burger so it looks more stock.
Let me know if you like any other black grilles.

But close to $400-500 for a grill...... Rather save up a little more and get some headers or TS ECU

$320 for mine, painted, logo, alum diamond mesh, shipped. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but RLM would have been about $275, painted w/ logo.

I guess I mis-calculated then.......I added all of the options that I would want and I thought it came out around that price.

I apologize for saying wrong info.

MaXXX,

I've been looking at that grille for some time now also. I have an onyx SL myself, and Ive decided a powdercoated black is a must. I guess I'm going for that dark and stealthy look, haha! I'm opting to leave off the emblem. I LOVED the AT grille that had the woven mesh - unfortunately they don't offer it now that I can afford it, haha! Let me know if you come across any powdercoated black grilles with the matching inserts for the bottom. Lets keep in touch about this...

I think I was the first person on the org with the AT grille on my car, by far superb fit and finish. I did have one small problem but Dave and Mike from AT stepped up and remedied the problem immediately. All I can say for them is +++++++++++++111111111111

I just asked for painted liquid silver with black diamond mesh and was quoted $305 plus shipping. The 3-5 weeks wait is what kills me. I don't want to give someone 300 bucks and get the thing 2 months later. I am going to order anyway I guess.

They didn't charge my account until they shipped.

I really like this one...

Nate has it on his car which is a pic on the site..looks NICE

Can any of you professional photoshop/choppers put a nissan burger in the middle of that grille and use my sig pic and put the grille on my car?

Is the mesh black only.....

Think this would look good on a liquid silver? Need some help badly. Stock (FAKE) chrome grille is flaking & ugly. TY very much.

yo one thing that i WILL say for my all onxy colored max lovers is ...... if you get this grill..... go to your local autozone/pepboys ect...... and pick up a can of black spray-on car paint..... good stuff usually runs about 10 bux a can..... but it makes a WORLD of difference. spray the inside behind your mesh grill otherwise the dull metals from the frame will show through and IMHO it looks like crap.... hope this helps

One little thing I noticed about the AT with the head-on view, that the top of the grill doesn't follow the line of the hood and it creates a gap. Are the all like that? I never noticed it before. When I look at the Sarona, it doesn't have that gap. Like I said, I never noticed this before and its not a BIG deal, just an observation. I still would love to have the AT in all black with the Burger on it.

I added a couple of extra screws to hold mine down a little tighter on each side, even out the gap a bit. The grille doesn't come out as far as the hood does, so it tucks under a little too.
