Does he have an aftermarket system in the car?
I had a similar experience 10 years ago with my 93 Max, I did have an aftermarket system and killed my alternator. Good luck to your friend.

you gotta let the battery charge up for a good 30 mins.. maybe more.

if not call triple A, they got zero gauge jumper cables...!

There may be enough voltage to work the windows, etc and still not enough to kick in the solonoid on the starter. When you turn the key asking for the starter, what do you hear? A click or no sound at all. A click would say that it is trying but not enough voltage.

If you can put a battery charger on the bat for a couple of hours, that could help.

Happend to me while installing my alarm, everything worked but I could not start the car. Would not even turn the starter. Freaked me out, thought I busted something... put the battery on the charger for a few hours and started right up and still using the same battery today.

Same thing happened to me while I was fooling around with my enterior for a couple of hours. Had to call the girlfriend down to give me a boost. I let the cars run for a long while before I attempted to start. Worked like a charm. Good luck with yours bro.
