I was asked today if my Max was a Sentra...
Some guy had the b@lls to ask me today if my 2006 Max was a Nissan Sentra.
Come on....
I can't see a Sentra even coming close to resembling a Maxima...
TARD!!!

I mean, does it even come with an alloy rims on 07? I know they dropped the 2.5 liter engine..

I always wondered why auto makers make each car in their lineup look the same. If a potential buyer is turned off by a certain styling aspect of one model, for example- the yellow/orange instrument cluster, and it is used in all models in the lineup, that buyer will be moving on down the road into another brand. I can see keeping certain styling cues across the line but let each car have its own identity. There is no reason an 07 Sentra should even be confused with the 07 $30,000 flagship Nissan Maxima!!! I think it cheapens the brand.

kronos - Do not be dismayed. At least the Sentra is now a good-looking car, has grown to the size of the Altima of half a dozen years back, is reliable, gets good gas mileage, and has reasonable performance for its class.
Now when they ask if your Maxima is a Saturn Ion (and that unconscionable faux pas has been reported several times on this board), then THAT is the time to feel emasculated.

The funny thing was that he was standing behind my car when he asked me if it was a Sentra. I should of replied with, " READ THE EMBLEM YOU FOOL!!!" ![BangHead](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
And yes, I do agree the new Sentra kind of looks like a mini Max, but Gee...the Max is like twice the size of a Sentra and on top of that the Maxima emblem was all on his face. TARD!!!

Guys,
Don't get mad when you get questions like these... just say yes... that way the smart people will buy the Max and the dummies will get the cadimercedesentra car of their dreams... And all will be well on Maxima.org.
