Thanks, con someone still explain the other abbreviations? I guess one is the temperature outside and the other is the air going through the CAI (MAF). Correct?

iat = is the intake air temp, its used to correct fuel quantity since air temps effects air density
and i believe

ect = engine coolant temp sensor goes into the coolant passage where it maintains constant contact with the coolant, from there teh PCM uses the ECT sesnor to read the temp

I was thinking about a tranny cooler a while ago, but many people on the org said that it would pointless unless you tow things, have a lot of power, or for some odd reason are just running a "hot" trans. It may also prevent the trans from heating up to its operating temperature which would cause bad things to happen. That's just what I've heard, so let the PROS chime in.

Funny thing I just read some post on NYCMaximas and the guy was complaining about his tranny problem and half the people said something to the effect "you should have added tranny cooler"

When my Jeep tranny failed, I was told the same thing too.

I realize these are for the 4th gen, but this model fits the 5th gen as well. Not sure about the 6th gen. It would take a little leg work on figuring out where to mount it (dimensions etc) and also what model you would want. Some have temp readouts, some are as plain as day.

Looks like a quality unit. IMO, a tad small.

I was told you can just pickup one at autozone and it will do its job. Mouting it might be a different story but I think if one was to get a longer one it would easily fit behind the grill.

Autozone has a universal one, the cooler itself is 12 x 7.5 x .75 and it costs $40 (Part # 911403)

I haven't seen it so don't know if it comes with clamps, hoses etc but these shouldn't be expensive.

I guess this would be on a fancy side with automatic temperature control.
