Trunk keyhole?

ok before the know-it-alls and com-e-dians come in and crap on this, go somewhere else. im not a noob but im new to the maxima world. here goes:

the other day me and my girl went xmas tree shoppin, the dude at the place put the tree in the trunk so that it sticks out into the car, now i think he pressed the security latch so i could no longer open the car with the remote or through the inside of the car....so i walk to the rear of the car but was dumbfounded , i couldnt find a keyhole to try to open the trunk...can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm not for sure because I never used the lock out, but there is a switch in the glove department.

Would this be on a 6th gen? Reach in the trunk and pull the emergency release on the deck lid... Or, read the manual??

No keyhole to speak of. Cost savings are great! Actually I like the cleaner look of no keyhole.

ya, how exactly is that glove compartment switch supposed to work? because I had it "on" and "off" and I could still open my trunk with the remote

the trunk switch in the glove compartment only stops the trunk from opening with the button inside the car. Its ment to be given with the valet key and no remote. With valet key they cant open your glove compartment or your back seats as long as you lock them with the regular key.

there is a keyhole, its on the rear parcel shelf, you can lock out the rear trunk via the switch, then you lock the glove box and the you lock the rear lock on the rear folding seatbacks.

Its behind the rear passenger headrest on the parcel shelf.

Yep; its under the little plastic cap behind the headrest on the passenger side back seat. I use it a lot.

And when this particular lock breaks, they replace it with a new one which has its own key that no longer matches the other keys for the car. Annoyed me.
