Cell phone mount

I have a Razor phone and could not find a car mount for it. Only those vent holders. I had a universal lighter mount that worked in my old car but since the 12v is on the side in my 04, it's useless.

Does anyone have a phone mounted near the shifter or on the side?

Why not just put it in one of the cup holders?

I had a phone mount in my 2000 Maxima.

I now have an 07 and it is just as convenient in the cupholder .

If you have bluetooth it really doesn'y matter where you put it.

Yea. If only the Caller ID information would come through into the information screen on my '06 w/Bluetooth. I wind up having to find the phone when it rings to see who's calling.

My 04 doesn't have bluetooth. My cup holder is filled with coins and coffee stains and lint. Just would like to keep that closed most of the time. The Bose speaker drown out the cell phone ringer. If the phone is facing me then when it lights up I always know I have a call or messege.

Yea I know, one of my buddies has an 06 TL and on his info screen... it shows the number of who is calling.... unlike the 07 which just says "Phone"

I just clip mine to the drivers side visor with a belt clip like this:

When the phone rings at night the display screen lights up and it's pretty obvious its ringing, even if the stereo is cranked up in the car.

I usually prefer this style of 3 point clip on my belt. It holds the phone with the display screen to the inside. Protects the screen and everyone else doesn't see who's calling if there is a picture linked to the contact.

I just get them off eBay as I loose them and break them. Lucky the phone is bomb proof so far.

These KUDA phone mounts are always on eBay as well. Usually about $65 or so. Not worth it IMHO.

Something like that would work but I wouldn't pay $65 for it.

I just put mine on my lap or under my leg. Works great when set to vibrate and the music is loud.

CanadianMoFo - I got one of those free when I ordered an extra charger. Your right, they are disposable. I take it you also have a Razr?

they make vehicle spacific mounts that usually go next to the radio/center console. then you can probably find a cradle for the razor on ebay or something.

Another good company to look into is Arkon.com

They have a pretty cool mount that is low profile and has a universal holder. I use this mount IPM128 which is located at the bottom of the page. Also the SM228 (Located towards the bottom of the page on the right) : Universal Short Multi Angle Adhesive Dash or Console Mobile Phone Mount is just like the mount that I have listed above but it has adjustable holders at the bottom to hold the phone in place and grips on the side that you close once your phone is in place to grip the phone also featuring a one press button to release the grip for easy removal of the phone. I'll take some pictures of what I have in my car and the different options. For $20 you can't go wrong with this product.

Here are some pictures of the Arkon SM228 Universal Mount in my 09' Maxima:

This is the Arkon Universal Cup Holder Mount w/ Flexible Arm:

It is a very sturdy product and the fact that scroll wheel is located at the top of the product makes it much easier to expand the grips to hold the cup holder in place.

Check out Arkon.com you'll find what you need there for your mounting issues.
