Finally got them painted (*pics inside*)

I finally got around to paint these brakes calipers. Painted them silver with the high heat spray paint. Ill be putting some black with machine finish lip on there in about a week or so ill be taking more pictures. It took about 2 hrs to get these painted and took about 5 hours to dry in sun. Pictures are a bit blurry because i took it from my cell, didn't have a camera at the time with me. Let me know what y'all think.

Looks good, where did you find the paint? One of my Miata buddies found a brake caliper painting kit at Wal-Mart,it comes with the paint, a cleaning agent and masking supplies. He could only find red though.

Hey, one more question, your G35 spoiler, is that OEM or an aftermarket piece?

I got the sprayu paint from Ace hardware store it can stand about 1500 degrees of heat and yes that is an OEM G35 spoiler.

Looks good. I'd like to do that same color to my I30 as well. Did paint them right on the rotor or did you actually remove the caliper? Are there any parts that you have to be really careful NOT to paint when doing this?

you can see in the first picture the only parts that i didn't want to get any paint was basically everything behind the rotors. Even if paint gets on rotors, whenever you hit your brakes on road the paint on rotors will come off( as soon as u hit the brakes for the first time when your driving)i taped up small parts and cover the bigger parts with paper towel(taped down).

you should get some of these bling bling caliper covers that Matt Blehm makes. They make your factory calipers look like 4-piston calipers. SWEEEET!

very nice man.... you could have used a heat gun to dry the paint. It would have taken 1-2 hours hrs to dry...

Well, it did for me....
