Water sound on passenger side?

Whats up everyone! i was wondering if anyone had this. My Gf recently purchased an 04 SL Max and about 2 weeks after we bought it we noticed when you take off you can hear like water going from where your feet are by the shifter on the passenger side to about where the shifter is. Is anyone else having this? Its really weird. I mean the floors not wet so its not a leak. I have a 2k and have never heard of this problem

Just bleed the air out of the system and you'll be fine. I just opened the radiator cap WHEN IT WAS COLD and topped off the coolant. I dont hear the sound anymore.

Yah I know, but I'm still under warranty, so the dealer can it!

That would be your 'heat shield' recall.

Let us know what comes of this.

Ok so i went to the dealership today and they told me they could not cover tghis under warranty because this is only covered under the 3 year 36K mile warranty so they wanted to charge me 86 labor and 10 for the coolant so i said F that. ALso i was getting the knocking noise and they didnt want to cover that either eventhough theres a TSB fro that also. any ideas????

Yeah, speak to service manager. Tell him/her that Nissan-They KNOW that this is an issue and that good customer service dictates that this is handled in the best interest of the customer.

Give me a break Nissan!!!!

nothing you can do if your warranty is expired. Unless it's a recall you pay for the work or DIY. Or you buy an extended warranty. TSB is only a "how to fix" not a "has to be fixed for safety."

your only hope was if the dealer wanted to help you out by eating the cost.
