service engine soon...

i just installed a used fujita cai, didnt tighten the clamp at the throttle body all the way and went for a drive, service engine soon light came on asap, i pulled over, realized my error and fixed it.


disconnected the neg. battery terminal for 15 min, pumped the brake pedal and went out again, light is still on


car feels fine though


wtf did i do?

What most do, brain fart. No big deal, the more you drive it the faster the light will eventually reset itself...

If your really in a hurry, find someone with an OBD reader which reads the fault codes and then have them clear it, if there is truly a problem, the light will come back on, in your case, I'm pretty sure it will remain off if your description of the problem is accurate...

You also need to drive 50 miles. If the ECU doesn't throw the same code, the light will go off.
