Does the HID endcaps screw onto the halogen projectors? Itchin to get the 9006 4300k kit from the group deals forum. Insights?

I don't really feel like hacking up the halogen's endcap if i absolutely don't need to...

 

From what Ive seen you only have to drill a small hole...

The 9006 bulb fits into our housing, no changes to the projector.
You must drill a 1" hole into the cap to let the additional wires pass through.

 

I just widened the existing hole with a drill.

i just bought the same kit, should i take this to the mechanic or like a stereo shop to install?

 

those places might charge you an arm and a leg though...

 

hmm...does anyone have pics of their setup...particularly where they drilled?
