I've done way worse than that... in my old Firebird... 
filled an entire intersection (4 lanes crossing 4 lanes with medians) with smoke ... and dug holes into the asphault where I did the burnout...
and it's actually not really much worse on the tranny than normal driving, except for the fact that he held high rpm's for a little while..
