A buddy of mine has an 05 that has started making an odd noise. Right before he stops the car, it makes a sound that sounds like binding rubber and it comes from the front drivers side. Its not the brakes as these have been replaced. And mechanics have looked at it to try and diagnose the problem with no luck. Again, the car only makes the noise right before the car comes to a complete stop. We were hoping someone else on here has experienced this and has an idea of where to start. Thanks

 

That doesn't sound familiar. From the little I've read on the forums, I haven't seen anything like you describe, but maybe someone else, as usual, knows about it. Could it be the new brakes, maybe the installation/installer?

I just got an '04 and what I have is the 'strut sound issue' on the passenger side. My rear brakes are making a little noise and 'feel' when braking...I'm thinking of replacing all rotors to Brembo and put new ceramic pads. Hopefully that will solve my issue.
