making memory seat work while moving.. help!

I think its quite annoying that the memory seat won't let you use the function unless you are stopped with the emergency brake engaged (6MT) as when in my daily route, I go from city to highway driving, and than later back to city I move my seat back some and down, steering wheel out, and mirrors. Does anyone know what wire(s) Id have to modify to make it always think the car is stopped w/the brake up? Or is that even possible?

Do you mean being able to set the memory on the seats? My seats adjust any time but I can't lock the settings unless I'm in park.

I think he means switch the setting from 1 to 2...

I'd think it's possible.. it's a safety feature, similar to navigation options being disabled while driving...

might be harder to do with a manual, because of the ebrake thing....

Why don't you have position 1 as your city driving position and 2 as the highway cruising position. Then, before you set out on your trip, hit the button for the type of driving you will be doing. Problem solved.

When you are at a red light and near to getting on the highway, pull your E-brake and hit the button. And after you get off the highway, do it again.

Just bring the ebrake up one click while driving, good to go. A little wear on the parking brake shoes for a second or two. Same thing my friends do on their S10s to keep the DRL's off...except they drive with it on one click all the time.

I tried these things...ebrake up..but you have to be stopped too. I dont hit any lights at the convienent times to change positioins. i drive city for about 5 mins..than I want to switch to memory 2 (highway mode) for about 45 mins..than w.o stopping i drive in the city again for about 20 mins (back to memory 1, city mode) the lights I encounter are rarely red..so its hard.

read up on the navigation fix for the same thing.. the nav shouldn't work while moving either.. should be the exact same fix, and then just pull the e-brake one click..

You dont need the e-brake the car just has to be in park with the engine running.
