Headlight Lenses.. HELP

I installed a plug and play convo kit for my headlights and today I noticed that the headlight lenses were fogging up... I never noticed this before so I'm thinking it has something to do with the install. Any ideas?

check the placement of the bulbs to make sure u have installed it correctly. fog could be caused by you not tighting the bulb in correctly.

Same problem last week...Tried multiple attempts to get rid of fog. Gave up, fog keeps coming back. Buying xenon headlights which just plug in and go. Sorry for the bad news but I just hope to save you some trouble.

It would have to be the seal for sure. Good luck...

I had the same problem but my kit was a kit for 9006 because there was not other kits available at the time, I'm not sure if they actually make the correct bulb to fit the weird 9012 but I had to slightly cut parts of the socket to make the bulb fit....if it does fit perfectly for your kit then it's like what J say....it's got to be the seal....I couldn't get rid of the fog problem and it was really bothering me so I just ended up buying some used OEM headlights w/ HID on ebay. I really liked the 8000K I had on the kit but I'll live with the stock 4300K just so I wouldn't have anyone mistaken my headlight as a fish tank....

no issues of fogging here with my 9006 aftermarket HID kit. is the end cap screwed on correctly?

Hair dryer in one hole, open another to let the moist air out.

Alternatives include putting in a silica gel pack to absorb moisture.

I found that after I did my HID upgrade I had fog for a couple weeks, but it went away eventually. Only returned when I pressure washed the engine bay. Disappeared after a good couple days in the sun.

Ya the lenses are still fogged... I'm thinking it could have been when I had to drill a hole to run the wire through the plastic... But i used silicone and tape to cover up the hole. a friend said that I should have left the lights installed for a few hours before turning them on. Not sure about that

ROFL, I drilled the exact same hole. Currently have the exact same problem as you bro. Looking for some used oem hid headlights right now because im sick of taking the bumper off and correcting it.
