I had my windshield replaced a few weeks ago due to a rock cracking it. Now I notice my rear view mirror jiggles which makes it hard to see behind me. How is that tightened??

 

Suggest that you take it back to whoever installed your window. Sounds as if they did not let the glue cure correctly when they replaced the mirror.

 

Lower your volume on the subs and you're good to go.

 

I had this same problem and my dad fixed it for me. Theres screws on the back of the mirror right under the part that connects the mirror to the metal peice glued to the windshield. Tighten it up and it should fix your problem hopefully.

 

 

What kind of screws? flat head, allen phillips?

 

I don't know if there are any screws, the fsm didn't list any! You will have to remove the connector cover and take a look.

Most cars i have had use an allen screw to tighten the mirror to the piece thats glued to the windshield. I havent looked my Maxima yet to see if its the same.

 

i had the same problem... i just used a really small screw driver that was able to fit... it's one screw behind the mirror that is on the window... if u have an allen key set it will work fine!!! like i said, i just did it last week for my max

 

Is it a flathead or allen head?
