Getting the doors to lock when in drive?

I've decided to post this as a separate thread. Does anyone know how to get the doors to lock automatically when you shift into drive? I have checked under settings but can't seem to find anything that gives me the option?

Thx

It's a safety feature for little old ladies and teenage girls....every car I have owned up to now including my daughter's 2001 Mailbu would automatically lock the car doors when you shifted into drive. Sort of prevents a car jacking at the next stop light.

Yeah, I have to say, the Maxima is the first car that I've been in that doesn't do that. My dad was asking me if there was any way to make the car do that, cause both of my parents cars do it.

I have an auto also, and haven't seen that feature offered either. I lock mine out of habit anyway. I'm someone that would want that feature.

I know my 97 Deville automatically locked the doors when ever it was placed in drive and unlocked when it was placed in park... I guess Nissan never really thought of as a necessity. I'm gradually getting use to it.

I had the same question when i got mine. Ask the dealer and they said they dont have that feature.

I installed my alarm in it and now it locks as soon as i start the car.
