These are cornering lights and go on as you turn on your turning sygnals (blinkers) but only when your headlights are on.

Ask somebody to sit in your car, put on the headlights and then play with the turn signal.

These are not fog lights. The fog lights are integrated into the headlight unit.

Chief, did you read your manual yet??

Remember what I've said, they only go on when your headlights are on. If both don't work when you put on the blinkers then you might have a problem.

You can install HIDs in the fog lights and yes someone has installed them in the cornering lights but with ill effect. Cornering lights + HID bulbs = blind drivers heading your way.

Correct. Since they point at like a 45 degree angle, you won't get significant forward throw out of them. Moreover, the momentary on-off application of cornering lights will really shorten the life of HID bulbs.

IMO, do not waste money on some sort of conversion, just get LED towers in the corner lights. Here are pictures of mine. They look REALLY bright, but they are actually really dim, but look REALLY cool! They were $20 a piece

I just bought some 45 LED for the corners and hope they turn out ok. Looking at some PIAA h11 4000k to replace the foglights.
