service engine soon

i tried to search for an answering but i couldn't access any of the pages, anyways.

my "service engine soon" light just popped up. i have 35,800 miles on my max and just had a check up done last month. is this something that is programmed to come on at a certain mileage or should i take it in to waste some money?

Take it to AutoZone and get the error codes read.

No there's no charge. When you've done that, and only after you've done that, post the codes on here.

I took it to O'Reilly's and they ran the test and said it was some kind of evaporation. I tightened the gas cap and he cleared it. All is well again. I feel kind of stupid. I thought i was about to go broke getting something fixed.
