how do i get rid of the SRS light?

how do i get rid of the SRS light?

started few weeks back....dont know why?
keeps blinking all the time now....tried reseting the ECU but no difference, took the negative terminal off on the battery still no results....is there any other procedure i can try before i take it to the stealership and let them rip my pocket...

Well isnt that you air bag system, I would think one of your sensors is going bad is a reset didnt work. Might have to go to the dealer.

yeah SRS light is the air bag system....im actualy talking about the light next to the seatbelt icon on the speedometer...it actually looks like a airbag icon with the driver icon also...

Dont know how old this is but did a google search,


How to reset SRS(air bag) light:
Open the driver's door. Note the rubber covered button located low on the B pillar, a button which is pressed by the door when the door is closed. This is the Driver's Door Switch (DDS).

Turn the ignition from OFF to ON. Press the DDS at least 5 times within 7 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. Turn the ignition OFF. Close the driver's door. Start the engine.

If the airbag warning lamp is still on (or still flashing), there is a fault in the Supplemental Restraint System which must be diagnosed and repaired. This is a job for your local friendly Nissan dealer.

danggg....that method didnt work....im pretty sure there isnt any fault in my srs.... the light came on after i installed my remote start....guess i have to try the other method.....hopefully that would work...
