Is there a way to program it so you have low boost at the start, until it kicks in?

Actually not sure of the question, the electronic boost gauge is already preloaded with the software for everything from single button boost control to over boost protection. Its ready to go at install!!!

Well it would see to me that you would want lower boost when you're starting off from a stop until you reach some speed, or else you with fry the tires, no?

That would effectively be a slower car. Me personally, I want my torque curve linear and horizontal as possible.

The same function as a progressive window switch with Nitrous can be programmed into higher end boost controllers. It cuts boost in at a certain RPM and raises it sequentially (through spool up). This keeps FWD cars from simply spinning at the line. If it is preloaded its possible that it has something along these lines already. Ask your shop about it, it would help greatly with traction.

I expect 12's regardless.

While slowing the car bit on paper, a car that spins at the line while turning sideways is a very, very slow car, I can assure you.

I have to add that Chern has the fortune to have a very decent suspension set up that will definitely aid in his traction capabilities. Slicks will further help.

Not sure yet because I haven't received them yet but I do believe the electronic boost control module I'm getting does this and this type of management is built into the software including overboost protection (the latter I'm sure of). I'll report back on my findings and talk with SRF about it also. Thanks, I understand the question now...

I'm pretty sure he's violated every warranty on the car. This is far beyond mere "warranties".

I'll post more info with some pictures when I get home, stopped at the shop this afternoon while they were fitting the intercooler and piping on. They also removed the battery and installed the 440CC injectors...

One slight problem but I figured out a fix and the shop agreed and is doing it, some will be sad...

The only thing I can think of is you can't use your HS headers and had to revert back to stock manifolds.

Couple of questions....What have you done to address your open diff with all the new power, it's going to be a one wheel burner...Also what steps have you taken to improve or extend tranny life?

These are simple issues I have seen others overlook when boosting automatic FWDs.....

I think he's taking a reactive approach as apposed to a proactive approach to tranny issues. But yeah, it will be a one-wheel burner.

I think I would be concerned with the life of the diff, also the tranny. Take Mardigras for instance, before he even considered turboing his G-sedan, he went and upgraded the VB, and added a tranny cooler. Without even going internal(VB is swappable) on the gears to consider strengthing them.....

The G sedan he has, comes with a nice LSD set-up, it lays it down pretty nice

Just some wise insights from a guy who knows his ways around a boosted maxima...
