Need Input

I have installed a pretty serious system in my car utilizing a JL clean Sweep. The issue is the Stock Six disc CD Player skips all the time. The problem I may run into is that Nissan May not Cover the Changer because the Radio has been fooled with. Do you guys know if I remove my changer myself and go to the Parts Desk and tell them it does Not work, will they exchange for me under the warranty?

I didn't want to change out the radio because I have Sirius Paid for lifetime and The Navigation will get all screwed up.

Any Input will Help!

You're F'd dude. Nissan is going to laugh at you. Why didn't you just leave it in and take the car in to get warranty work?

I looked at the clean sweep and I just thought that it took away too much of the functionality of the stock radio no steering wheels controls etc. Now it looks like there is another problem too with warranty work.

I think that before they warrant anything they are going to want to see it work so they can determine what's wrong and if it will be covered under warranty I wouldn't advise taking out. But the dealership may be cool and see that it has nothing to do with your clean sweep and warrant it anyway. I just had something like that happen to me but it was a pre-cat and thought they might hassle me about engine mods but they didn't. It's worth a shot. If they try to charge see if you can find another changer somewhere else.

How is the JL Clean Sweep.. When installing my system i thought about this unit but opted for the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 .. Best part of the unit.. you can tune with your palm pilot.

I love the Jl unit but I would probably like the fact you can tune the 360. I use all Jl and it seems to work flawless. Only dilemma is that Stock radio is always at 75% Volume and i have my controller for the Clean Sweep in my cigarette lighter. A little Stealth Action you Know!

Hmm I wonder what the dealership will say. Eventhough I had to take it out to get to the back of the Radio!

I know I want to keep the stock look of the car. I think adding a new Nav and radio may make it look a little Gaudi, I also Lose the bluetooth witch may not be a biggie. I also Invested some money on the Clean Sweep! so I am just going to try get the changer replaced or have to buy one from the dealer

Each dealer has their own guidelines for honoring warranty work, some will give you a hassle for anything, and others won't care. In your case, it's probably a toss-up since some people have issue with the stock changers anyway.

i did lifetime sirius... therefore hardly ever use my cd changer. so you either try for warranty or just don't use it. atleast if you try, you may get it fixed.

can't u uninstall the JL before taking it in? or did you cut wires making it obvious?

if you can't get it fixed, just add an input for MP3s instead of CDs.

i wouldnt mold it into the dash.. just leave the ipod adapter under the passenger side carpet and run the wire into the glove compartment.. i have a 5.5gen and thats how i have my setup.. i also did change the face to a touchscreen so it has the option on it.. im not sure how you would control it .. i didnt read to much into it.. there is an update harmon control unit.. its like lookn at ur ipod on a different screen.. kinda expensive and it depends on how much u want to modify your system-- no1 should be without an ipod.. GO BUY ONE you wont be disapointed

ohh -- and the unit charges the ipod so u don't need a charger
