To my Org brothers and sisters, please be patient, I will post more VIDs soon, but this weekend I spent some quality time with the family (Veterans day, freedom isn't free and I'm a VET!!! ) and I'm sound proofing the trunk area with B-Quiet Ultimate. Not only does the car put out 1/2 the sound as it use to with a CAI, the whistle is also gone after removing the Fujita (Wow this Turbo is QUIET!!!) I'm sound proofing the rear area to make the Bose sound, sound like a Bose!!!

Still a work in progress...

I salute you chern, I haven't been online at all really this weekend, Thank you for supporting our country.

but to your sound deadening I just did that too my car cause man it was loud, I'll have to get video of my exhaust up so you can hear what I mean. I didn't want my exhaust to be so loud it just happened, cause I don't really have any cats. But on the inside it cut out 75% of the noise out of the interior of the car.

So since you did turbo does that mean dues will do superchargered?

Lookin' good Chern, keep us posted on how much the sound dampening lining helps reduce cabin noise, and happy late Veteran's day to all my prior service brothers. Great Graphic Ramberg!

Thanks for the Vet shout out: Yeah I bought the stuff because with Headers and the CAI it started getting loud IMO, then I installed the Turbo and holy shoot, 50% cut in sound/noise, kind of freaky, anyway since I had the stuff, I figured lets get the outside noise down some more and keep the quality interior feel and sound. Nothing lose with improvements and I'm all about details!!!

When is he due home? Hopefully soon and may he return home safely.

I wanted to join the service, but my heart and kidney problems kept me out of it, that and my mother is whacked but I still love my mom.

So Dues does this mean you will go supercharged since chris went turbo?

I havent decided on forced induction or not. I also didnt realize I was in competition with Chern, but my thoughts were in the direction of building the best NA motor I can and lightening the car too. I figure with cams, header, light flywheel, and UTEC, Im good for another 60 hp, but I wouldnt be where Chris is with hp. I can prolly lose another 70 lbs on the car, but thats about it before I go really radical with weight loss, which is something Im not gonna do.

I'd love to build a 4.3 liter stroker motor, but I dont have htat kind of money or time. That would be the ultimate NA motor.

My son's tour of duty ends in about 10 months before he is reassigned or whatever they call it.

you could build a 3.3 stroker combining both 3.5 and 3.0 motors, I've heard talk of it around here a while back.

Losing weight is a big thing with these cars, if chern or you could shave 1,000 lbs out of the car, it would be drastic on our acceleration, hell 500 lbs would be nice, but then their goes the total idea of owning our maximas. I plan to finish school and then take my max to a whole new level, by stripping everything out and trying to drop all the weight I can and build it into a track car for weekend play but thats 2 years from now.

1,000 lbs is unreasonable to shave off our cars. I think getting the car down to 3200 lbs is more reasonable assuming the weight of the car is 3450 with full tank of gas. This topic is for a different thread though.

Well I'm all about shaving weight also (no junk in the trunk, etc for me) but when I realized I didn't want to loose the goodies that comes with a fully loaded Max including NAVI, I decided to increase the Horse Power...

To all, the car is running smooooooooooth, still in the break in phase (only 180 miles on her right now), opened her up couple times and she surges!!! I'm getting a dyno tune soon even though I wanted to wait till the tranny upgrade. I just want to feel the raw power and just keep it light, once the tranny is done, then back to dyno tuning...

Dues, god speed to your son for his safe return...

Yes, it was preloaded by Speed Force Racing before they shipped it or the car would have had trouble running with the new 440C injectors...

ok, I still wouldn't drive on it too much at all, basemaps aren't meant for daily driving at all. do you have a tranny cooler?

Well I only travel 4 miles to/from work and I still need to drive it to break in the turbo and SFR said I won't have any issues with the programing they did. I do want to get it tuned before I take it to level ten for the tranny upgrade, so when are you available? The sooner the better!!! I want it tuned for the drive to Jersey and no tranny cooler, Level Ten said for my setup their 600hp rated tranny will hold anything I can put at it and I'll be happy if I can hit 400whp. I'm good, you know me, I baby my car and will do this right!!!
