Been a while, can't remember...3rd brake light

I want to mat it with sound supression, I popped it out, did it before, but forgot how to release the white wiring harnass without breaking it. I see the white tab at the bottom on the left side. Any pics on how to release the plug? Pull forward and then up, the assembly is out. At this point, I am almost thinking about removing the 3rd brake light and getting a sequential turn signal indicator instead. Thanks all.

Its not hard at all to remove. I have done it plenty of times. You wont break it if you just tug a little. If you want, just get a flat head screw driver and press and pull. You should be ok with that.

I am assuming you are doing this to stop ratling against rear window from bass. let us know if it works, pics and what products you used would be helpful too. For now i cut down a rubber bushing and wedged it between cover and rear glass to stop ratle. I have 2 kicker comp vr 12's getting @ 500 watts from an old school rf amp so it can get annoying.

Yep, that is what I am trying to do. Pushing 1500 watts to 12" Pioneers. The 2 farad cap still makes the lights dim a bit. The buzzing from the 3rd brake light drives me nuts. Might just have some dynomat installed in the entire trunk and package tray.
