Air vent 'fin' lost in air vent

So I noticed recently that a fin from the passenger side air vent is missing, it looks like a missing tooth - very silly.

At the same time I noticed that when I turn corners there is a very annoying noise which is shhhhhhh--puk!

I finallly put 2+2 together and realized the air vent fin must be down in the air vent sliding back and forth. So the question is obvious, how do I get in there and get it out?? Is the air vent 'header' removeable without breaking it??

Thats plan B for sure, but if I can pop out the vent housing portion that swivels and see down in there and reach the piece with my little grabber tool that would be preferred.

Has anyone ever done this?
