eck, whats wrong with mesh near exhaust?? Ill check your photoshop when u get it done. Is it going to be like the GTR proto which has some kind of solid material around the pipes?

I found the PERFECT thing for the red light in between the lower fins. Its a little box with 3 INCREDIBLY bright LED lights. Ill get some red material to make a lense (its real easy) and it will wire right up to the brake lights and light up when brakes are applied.

So what are you going to do with the rear diffuse you made?

My camera chip is missing so I cant take pics, but I am doing LOTS of sanding and shaping. I thickened the bondo so that the plug will be solid in which to make a mold. I want to shape the plug as close as possible to the shape I want, taking into account the thickness of the valence. Thats how body kit companies are off and parts dont fit. You have to take millimeters into account. I havent installed the middle lower diffuser part yet as I want to shape the rest of the valence first and then blend the diffuser into the lower exhaust regions. OR maybe I should make it exactly like the GTR Proto where the diffuser part curves down and hangs, almost like a diffuser fin on each side. What do you think would look better??? In the circled red is the area Im talking about. Opinions please, I really do value them, good or bad or whatever. If you read thread, PLEASE give me your opinions.

How bout this one:

.....the project you're currently working on, is looking very nice indeed. Especially with the last photoshop images. I do however agree with the rest of the people in avoiding the mesh over the exhaust idea. As a matter of fact, personally speaking, I'm not much of a fan of anything mesh to begin with. If you're considering something else, just work in the "look" around that area of this project. Something along the lines of the new LS, or even the GT-R would be a better finish IMO.

BTW, your tail lights are very unique......how did you get them to come out looking that way?

Thanks!! I wont do mesh around the exhaust, but Ill have it look like the GTR. Ill somehow create depth which will add difficulty to a difficult project, sicne I dont really know what I am doing.

The tail lights have an overlay on them to create that look. COntact Andy at Bluebatmobile if interested in it.

Right now Im in the shaping stage. The problem Im having is the Stillen piece is urethane which flexes and it cracks the bondo and it separates from the urethane. I knew this would happen but its getting irritating. i fix it with elmers which holds it well. I have to handle it delicately. From a distance it actually looks pretty good. Wish I had pics for ya.

I think Ill make it flush mounted because the light is 3 LEDs which are angled like this "\ l /" so you can see it from any angle. Ill notch the diffuser so it will fit perfectly and run the wiring under it to the brake light. Here is a pic of the light by the way.:

The LEDs are red, but look clear when off. Ill prolly make a little red lense so it looks red all the time cuz I like it that way

Yeah its just bondo powder from sanding. Here is updated pic. You can see the middle diffuser in place and it connects under exhaust surrounds:

Ill shape those more and I need to make both sides even.
