WOW!!!

I would have been LIVID!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you get it fixed?

When I go to places like Walmart I try to park ALL the way on the otherside of the parking lot where no one parks to avoid crap like that. It's a longer walk, but I rather spend the extra two minutes walking than coming out and seeing a big @ss ding on my car.

Look on the bright side, the headlight looks damage free.

Find a fender on ebaY and have it shot. Shouldn't cost much.

I went to a Nissan dealer's bodyshop as well as to a couple of other body shops. All of them said that the scratch has cut through the paint in the front bumper, so it can't be fixed unless I paint the whole bumper which would cost around $400. They also said not to worry because the bumper is plastic, so the scratch won't lead to rust. But still it feels bad.

Now I park just as you do. Hope that saves it.

Whats your deductable? Look at it this way, brand new fender and newly painted front end, which gets the most chips anyway.

I have an appointment tomorrow to get pictures/estimate, until then I cannot clean the car. They will be sending me a check, so I will try my McGuire scratch remover first. If the dents are small, I may try one of the 'dent doctor' around here. I am concerned that a freshly painted door/fender will shine more and be noticable. May just be a misconception on my part.

This happened to me about 2 months ago.. It ran over 700, you can try the scratch remover, and a dent doctor seems logical, it doesn't look like a major dent.

I have a question. My front bumper has a wide scratch on it. I know that it has not gone through the paint, it just makes it like a whitish color from the rubbing. My question is what type of paint would be best to cover up the scratch for my black 06 maxima. Any suggestions or brands would be great help.
