Off to get her brain fixed
Off to get her brain fixed
Well, as it turns out my car has undergone some major computer problems. The Service Writer at the dealership JUST called me and told me that the ECM is NOT fried, and he's got a guy working on the car as we speak. Yay! I was worried it wasn't going to be fixed in time for the All Florida meet this Sunday...however, she just might make it! Here's her trip up to Coral Springs Nissan

I'll keep you updated as to the official problems and repairs...

Still don't have any clue as to the issues...at Pines they thought it was ECM, now at Coral Springs they're not getting an ECM code at all, but still don't know what the issue is. The codes are all out of wack, and they can't figure it out. Service advisor said they should know by tomorrow...
Hopefully.

) I had the same issue. Turned out to be TPS/APPS related. There has also always been tsalk on how dealerships tend tot ry and fiz TB related issues with the Maxima.
1.) 1 Throttle postion relearn
2.) Consult II idle adjust
3.) Change TB
4.) Change ECU
What's strange about your code is that it actually goes into limp mode (throttle will not exceed 10% and will open VERY slow, as per FSM). Another strange item is that I didn't read anything re: TB cleaning or the like (SAFC install, basically anything TPS related), so it almost seems spontaneous.
NOOOOOO don't say thaaaat!
Well, they're still waiting to see what the tech says. The Service Writer said he should know by tomorrow.

I really think it's TB related. One time when I did something horrifically stupid (don't ask

^^^^^^^^^ haha, that was too funny, nething for the stealership to get out of it. i keep thinkin its the maf. i had a friend with a 02 max se and his car did the same and turned out to be the maf was bad.
I'm not really sure...it ended up being a bad ECU. Bleh.
NADA! The only thing I had to pay for is the diagnostic at Pines and the towing up to Coral Springs.
