Sputtering

I'm having an issue today with my 04 max, i backed out of my driveway today and it was seemed to have an unsteady idle but that's normal for my car , i started driving forward a little bit and it sputtered a couple times and stalled, so i started it again and went to move again and it did the same thing. so i start it again , nailed the gas and it seemed to be ok still sputtering but not stalling. I made it to work without any isssue, Later in the day i started it again and it sputtered a little but nothing major and it seemed fine. Tonight i started driving home and it seemed ok for a bit, then i noticed an SES light on i was at a constant speed so i didn't notice any problems. I got off my exit and slowed down when i made my turn it started accelerating and it was sputtering like crap i nailed the gas harder and it the rpm's flew up but it went no where had no power. I dunno what the hell it is. I was hoping for some insight as to what it is. or what it could be.

Get the code read (AutoZone/Kragen etc.) and that will tell you what is wrong.

Once you get the code, post it and I'm sure we could help you with the problem. First if you want/can, check the intake area and see if there are any obvious problems, i.e. intake hose disconnected, etc.
