Do yourself a favor and take it into a shop, you can't do any of this stuff without the proper tools..

Low pressure hose leaks are kind of common on our cars.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....light=pressure

I had mine replaced twice. Once under warranty and the second out of the kindness of the dealerships heart. If you a/c is blowing hot air there is a big chance it's a leak. Are you still underwarranty?

Yep it's a leak. I had the same problem a couple of months ago. everytime I turned the A/C on it would make a noise like the fan is scrapin something. took it to the dealer and they said there was a hose leak. I guess I wasnt the only with this problem.

I have extended warranty so I only had to pay $50(warranty and still have to pay, ), without it, I think they were gonna charge me like 300-400.

If it's that thin pipe that goes along the fender on the passenger side than it's expensive!!!

I had the same leak fixed under warranty last year, the same thing happened to me again and it was actually a broken wire up near my "aftermarket intake" as the dealer stated it, basically saying it would be covered under warranty. I'm sure it was something I did so I just sucked it up and paid them to fix it...

He said they took pics, I need to get a hold of them...

I suggest recharging it first. I bought my car without ac working. never needed it since I was in hawaii allways rolled with the windows down. took it to the dealer to get it looked at for S&G and they said there wasn't any leaks and 150 dollars later that they charged it up for me. 20 dollars I could have done that myself thanx nissan.

I have had three shops UV dye test the car and couldn't find any leaks. One shop said that it could be leaking under the dash and it would be a pain to even check to confirm. Once shop tell me it was a compressor and the other two said the compressor was fine. One shop recommended replacing the condenser as he noticed gunk build up at the bottom corner. I replaced the condenser, had a shop pull vacuum and recharge the system. Just like before, cold air blows for 5 days and on the 6th day you can tell the R134 is running out. 7th day is nothing but hot air, I am at a loss and am looking for some suggestions... Thanks in advance!!!
