I was gonna score a braille battery or other lightweight battery before my big race in Lone Pine in June. I already have 28 lb battery but I would love to drop 17 more pounds of dead weight in the front of the car!

250$!

screw that, to save 10-20 pounds...spend 1/3 that and get a good red top dry cell battery (and go to the gym for a month or too and drop 10-20 pounds...)

I didn't even know anything like this existed. I would have bought one a few months ago when I replaced mine. Says for "smaller displacements" are we considered smaller? Any issue with this and a UDP?

Larsim, ur gains will be in handling and some in looks. It will lighten it to an extent but if you collectively lighten your car by 20 lbs here and 30 lbs there, then it does make a difference.

Does it last longer than a "regular" battery?
