Anyone with a Blue Max want to throw up some pics? I'm wondering what would look better the stock red or tinted LEDS.

 

MY left side blinks fast, tried the posted fix no luck. Anyone else have this problem?

 

I am not sure if the safety aspect of this has been explored. I noticed on a car with both LEDs and regular bulbs, that the LEDs turn on substantially quicker than the regular bulbs. I heard that the time differential could result in shorter braking reactions by drivers behind cars with LED equipped tails, as much as 14 feet shorter stopping due to the faster reaction times.

i duno how but i have both working... never had a problem with em. worked since day one

 

im tryin to see if the 6 ohm load resistor in the front will work but i can't find the info on which wire i need to splice into.....

did everything jsmith's install guide (http://www.vqpower.com/v2/readarticl...article_id=120) only problem i have is my driver side headlight turns yellow when i brake... not sure why that is

 

One 6ohm resistor on each side of the vehicle will do the trick.

I received my lights a few days ago. I installed them just to get an idea of how they will look and all I can say is WOW! The only problem I have is the driver side rear turn signal not working and the front blinking fast. I am not using any led reverse or turn signal lights. I reverse the connection of the brake and turn signal to see if the turn signal lights would work and they did. So will a resistor solve this? And how do I install it and where. I need help soon, I want them on so bad. I want to be the first in Memphis, TENN to have this on. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe a step by step.

A resistor is not needed for your car lights to work. Make sure that the metal leads on the connectors are not turned in any way and that there is full contact with the leads to your car connectors.

 

It's your connector not making contact like VigilanteMax said. Once the connection is fully restored that hyper flashing will stop.

they are nice, alil too ricey for my taste though. I would just tint out the stock lights personally

 

Albeit its fine for you to have an opinion but there are 4 styles and one is almost identical with the red, but the added leds inside that are not ricey at all. personally I dont think any of these styles are ricey but to each his or her own.

 

Maybe you were blown away by the looks of one passing you on the road and knowing that you probably can't afford a set so you decided to hate on these lights, but to each his own.

I have the '04 max in Radiant Ember (burnt orange). My tint is 35% all around (if that matters). Which color lights would look good on my car?

 

black or red, both would look great, what kind of wheels do you have?

 

I have the factory wheels right now, but I'm on a serious lookout for 20" chrome wheels. So the lights have to match both styles.

Would you happen to have any pics of burnt orange max's with the lights?

 

I think blk would look good even with the chrome rims...

 

i still get compliments on the tails from time to time. people think my red tails come like that from the factory.

 

<--- Just got an 04 blue maxima SE Coming from a Acura Legend (rest its sole). I have enjoyed the max so far.. No mods yet, except for the tints and puddle lights. I think I have to have those taillights, haven't seen those in Atlanta yet....

 

Welcome aboard, the tails are a nice first upgrade. Just not sure why you'd show us a stock dirty engine bay...

Regarding the LEDs for the backup lights, how do these two compare (below)? And which ones would you recommend??

Also, are resistors needed for the LED backup lights?

I got the 9 LED ones and they work great.

 

I have a question I have got a winter frost SL (white) tinted windows i'm thinking to get these tails but i'm not sure if I should go black or red. I'm thinking to get Tenzo Type-M rims so sometimes i'm thinking may be black and sometimes red its hard if I can't see them in person what do you guys think red or Black? thank you any opinion is appreciated

 

Seems like I'll be the 100th person that can't decide on what color :x But I'm looking to purchase these and the 9 Way LED Reverese Lightbulbs. Question, what color do you think would look the best on a dark slate w/ 35% tint all around. Thanks guys!
