My new Max
After a painful year without my max due to some drunk driver running the intersection and crossing my path, I finally have a max again. I checked local auctions but this was the best deal. It's a fully loaded 05 SE (has heated steering wheel and leather seats, Xenons, no navi) with 88K miles. It has a clean carfax check and I got her for only $10,300 of ebay! She should be arriving on Friday or Saturday. Here are pics from the ebay page. I was originally going for a smoke gray but at this price I could paint it a different color if the white doesn't grow on me. I already ordered the black LED tails and thinking of painting the housing of the headlights black. Diffuser overlay ordered from Bat.
The seller said the car already has a rear lowered suspension with prewiring for a sub. I plan on getting my Millie Miglia Evo 5 19x8.5 refinished on putting them on.
H&Rs with KYB shocks after seeing what this max has.
Endlink suspension
Front and rear strut bars
Fujita intake
NWP phenolic spacers with SSIM mod
Nismo exhaust
Body kit from MAX2DAMAX

Glad you got a deal, not glad that it was let go for that, but glad you are still in the maxima family. (I just noticed that spell check comes up when I type in maxima...that should be changed since this is a maxima site...interesting)

Well it finally came in. I was a bit dissapointed since it needs some major detailing on the outside. I also saw this which is a big eyesore to me. It looks like an antenna thingy but it doesn't connect to anything I saw. Anyone know what this could be?

Athlon - That does indeed look like it may have been an antenna base. I would at least mask out the surface around it and paint it white until I figured out how to best get rid of it. That way it won't be quite as noticable.
At the price you paid, there will probably be things needing fixing, but at least you saved enough money on the price to afford some work.
There was a time when I much preferred silver to white, but white is growing on me. In fact, I will be buying an '09 Maxima later this year, and I have narrowed the color to either silver or white. White contrasts very nicely with the black things around the car (tires, lower grille, window trim, etc), and will go especially well with the blackening of lights you are planning.

I think the new 09 is BEAUTIFUL!!!
looks like he had bad reception for his radio and needed more signal. i guess thats where he put the external antenna.. dont our cars have internal antenna on the rear window? i get perfect reception ... but damn thats a blemish ...

Turns out he guy had a system. I saw some wires from the engine bay. The car must have been repossessed becuase the guy damaged the bose when putting it back in and broke the radio kit frame in the back. Some wires were damaged also. That antenna has a wire running from it and looks to be some type of ground wire. The mechanic said this car wasn't maintained properly, judging from the oil change. I put royal purple in by the way with mobile M1-110 filter. Throttle body was cleaned throttle n fuel additive added by mechanic. Other issues: front bumper was replaced (seller didn't tell me about that), a bit of overspray on rear passenger door ( prof. detailer says I should repaint it first before detailing), car trunk latch on body looks slightly twisted like it was rear ended (maybe an unreported accident since it wasn't on carfax), shift **** comes off (WTH!). The previous owner treated this car like a ho. I was planning on repainting the car but I'll wait till the kit comes out from MAX2DAMAX. She runs n pulls hard though. The car is still a bargain when I looked at the blue book value. I guess she needs some TLC. I definitely learned my lesson from buying on ebay. The seller didn't even tell me about some of these things even when I asked if there was anything to fix.
