Rear mesh valence idea

Mine, is also installed at a 90degree angle to the mesh, yours may look different when its installed parallel to your mesh.

Yes, I noticed that my lower front grill is almost exactly the size I need for the proposed new opening for the rear. Its a Street Scene grill from Stillen for a 2000-2001 Maxima. I think this is a better idea than the other mesh I was going to use because it matches the front grills. So, Im going to pick one of these up before I continue with the project.
Here is a pic of my lower grill:
Thanks Chern. The feeling is mutual!

I decided I wanted the rear mesh grill to match my front grills. I needed a piece of Street Scene mesh 27" x 5". I tried Street Scene to see if they would sell me mesh material but they wouldnt. I didnt wanna pay too much for something that may not work. Of all the places, I went to Stillen's website and noticed a huge variety in price - from $30 to over $200. I figured if I could find a grill that was at least that size for under $50, then I was doing well.
I wrote down some part numbers to grills that seemed to be the right size. I got a hold of Kenny @ Stillen and hesaid I could come down and look for what I needed. I ended up getting a grill for a Mitsubishi Eclipse for $35!!!!! It measures right about 27" wide and its about 8"+ tall which is way more than I need. I could probably make two grills, even.
Ill remove the bumper and make my cut now. Wish me luck!!

Pic with hole cut out. Damn that was kinda scary to do, but went fairly smoothly.
Now I need to sand edges smooth and place and cut grill. Ill try to get some pics up before its in. Ill have grill unpainted so its easier to see. See ya soon!!

Pic with mesh set in the hole. Trying to figure out how to attach the grill. I think what I will do is screw it to the bottom of the bumper and the curl the top part under the grill and clip it on using the Street Scene clips. So the top edge will be outside the bumper and the bottom and sides will be behind the bumper. Not sure if that will look ok or not.
