What do you mean? 7400RPM is too much for our motors or not possible at all?

No, point was the TS reflash only allows 7100 RPM, unless you request it higher. My tach was reading near 7500, and my software told me it was more like 7100.

 

Ooo, ok, I knew you could ask them to make the redline higher, i think Deuski had his extended to 7250 or something.

If those new 350z HI-rev motors can do 8000rpm on the TS tune, theoretically it should be ok to do 7200-7300 on ours? Or is that too risky?

Wouldn't the valves bend, and rods start shooting?

 

No valves bend nor rods shooting.

The rod bolts are what should be looked at. The RB's on the 2G VQ35, IMO, should be trusted no more than 7200 RPM.
