haha I know the youtube video is great! I Love the look, sound, performance of the Cattman...I really could tell a difference in performance. I know Brian said the headers were being tested on one of the best machines available for final testing and such, this was about 3 weeks ago though. IDK about the Headers yet, $800 plus the install and tuning is a hell of a project to take on IMO. Maby next summer. Right now I have to get my NWP spacers installed!

GET THE CATTMAN FTW!

Bump Bump

I'll be getting a Nismo exhaust in the next week or so for my 04 Max. Would any shop have a problem with extending the Altima Nismo exhaust a couple inches and install it on my Max????? I'm definitely going with Nismo, but since they're not avail for Max's, i'll have to improvise and modify the altima exhaust.

Any advice???????????????

Should not be an issue. Make sure you get them to use stainless for the inserted piece.

If you are interested in a Cattman exhaust speak to Brian from the number listed on the Cattman website. There is an exhaust for the 6th gen Maxima. It is an option.

The 3" single is great for power and Deuski races so its a nice amount of reduced weight also.

this thread fails, not deus 3 incher. that was my point. i applogize for not being clearer. i read through the entire thing in my opinion it fails. sorry if you disagree. i guess this is the 1st "whats the best exhaust for my 6th gen thread' ever in the 6th gen forum...

hell, the title fails too. as there is no #1 best exhaust for any car. it depends on price, opinion, availability, performance, materials, the list goes on. Everyone knows this(or so i thought...) its not like it's super secret hidden knowlege. you tube, the search button, google, that will give you all the advice you need in picking out the 'Best Exhaust For A 6th Gen'

It's just as stupid as the 'whats the best intake for my 3/4/5/6th gen' those threads fail too. do you disagree?

oh and as to your whole 'postcount thing'. i'v been on here since 01-02 and have a pretty low post count compared to most of what you 6th genners accomplished in just a few years. i think if you look at it i make like 1.2 posts per day on average, go check yours. and if i wanted a HUGE postcount there are much 'easier' ways to make it then posting in this section of the forum.

oh and as for all your 'rice' comments: one i really don't care about your opinions as i mod my car for myself not you guys. two my car turns heads and gets attention everywhere i go. People stop me to talk about my car say it's sick when i just park it to walk into a store, the mall, etc. hell i'v been driving and have had maximas pull up next to me roll down their window and start chatting with me. three i painted my CF and you 6th genners are in love with the crap. you slap it on where ever you can leave it unpainted etc. talk about rice.

and at the end of the day when you guys attack me for NO REASON other then me saying this thread sucks(which it does) think of this:

I'v probably done more for the maxima commmunity then you ever have, or ever will.

thx and have a good day!

I recently bought a Greddy's SP2 it's a full catback exhaust . Greddy is going out of business and they discontinued there SP2 line. The full catbackup is 650 shipped. I installed it on my 05 max SL. Which would be the same for you as well.

It sounds good and the mufflers are big.

question for you guys...even with the exhaust and/or intake, do you guys know or know someone that has dyno'd a '08 Max with the CVT trans after these mods were installed? Can it be done?

I heard there's no way to properly dyno a CVT car.

I would have to guess that you get on the dyno like usual, and instead of waiting for 3rd or 4th gear to smash the gas to the floor like stick cars do, you smash the gas from the get go and the dyno will graph out your entire power band ?

Could it possibly be done if it's put in sport shift mode? That would probably be the closest way of dynoing the car...
