Can someone please provide me with an RSA Recall letter?

I did the Showthread/Oldthread thing and got nowhere on all the links through a search.

I'd like a copy of the letter if possible.

Please PM me or post a link.

Thanks!

The thread it's in won't show. It's expired and I tried the "old thread" method too.

I don't care if the letter has expired, I want some proof this is a common Maxima problem when I take it in to Good Year for warranty.

I know that, I've done that. What it won't do is get me the letter. The link in all the threads for the letter is invalid.

Even if I don't qualify, I want some ammo for a warranty claim. Nothing like a recall showing my car, the tires and the exact problem as proof that the issue is common.

You don't need the letter. Goodyear knows about this problem. Do you have cracks on the tires? Just go to a Goodyear dealer. They will check the tires and they will call a rep who will tell what to do. I had this done twice. I don't use Goodyear tires anymore.

I called Good Year's 1-800 number, they told me to take it to a dealer for inspection. My wife called a Good Year dealer and they are giving her lame excuses before even looking at the tire. She had to demand that they even look at it. Having a recall letter from Good Year (even if my car doesn't qualify) in my hand would prove to them that this is not an isolated incident and we didn't just hit a pothole.

I do not want to be paying out of pocket to replace their crappy tires.

Please, by all means do the search for me.

I've searched it, I've mentioned it 3 times, the link in the searched thread is dead.

Try it, this is from NismoMax80's own thread:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ght=rsa+letter

Seriously, if you have the letter, can you please post it? I don't need useless comments to search when I've already done so.

i understand that with the site changes, threads were lost.

but i and others had ours replaced before a letter even existed. simply call Goodyear and start a claim number. then the dealer can't deny you. mention how you don't feel safe with the RSA and know about others that had failures, replacements, etc.

if you have visible cracks they will at least prorate them.

Goodyears RSA recall is expired, I got the royal runaround at the Goodyear dealer, they ruined one of my rims trying to rebalance them then told me one tire was "out of round" but I would have to pay 110 dollars to replace it. Its a shame these tires are still being used by manufacturers, I cannot believe RSA tires come on the SRT8 Chargers, they are unsafe.

Also my 06 SE is in the shop for overheating, BOTH radiator fans and the wiring harness burned up, the car overheated and the service writer told me he is starting to see "substantial" numbers of Altimas, Maximas, Muranos, anything that uses that fan assembly have problems. In the Maxima there is no idiot light for overheating, if you dont notice the guage is maxed out its already too late. My only indication was the a/c cut out, then i realized the radiator fans werent running and it was in the red. My engine might be ok, and its still under full warranty, but this is an issue that is probably going to be like the 2.5 engine recall, watch your guages carefully, Nissan is acting like there is no problem.

These motors are starting to break, not just in Maximas but Altimas and Muranos. KC2010 has heard of it, read his post. I think alot of people have failing rad fans but dont even realize it. Remember, not everybody who owns a Maxima, Altima or Murano posts here. If I could start a thread about my experience i would but this site wont let me, so i am trying to spread the word.
