yes they are covered but only for the first 1,200 miles.

i use Turtle wax chrome polish. it cleans up that oxidation pretty quick. however, when cleaning the strips, you will end up scratching the strips.

1. the strips will looks clean and new
2. when looking closely at the strips, you will notice the thin scratch lines.

I also had dad's maxima roof strips replaced with warranty. you just have to complain and make them show you exactly where it says that they will nort warranty it. They couldnt find it in writing so they decided to relpace them. It doesnt cost the dealership anything. They fill out a special form to make an "exception". Try it it won't hurt.

Sorry to disagree but I have over 20,000 miles on my car and they have replaced them twice under warranty. They should be covered through the normal bumper to bumper warranty. At least they are at my local dealership.
