HELP Warranty vs Stealership issue

OK, I told you guys that I had a bad tranny and took it to capital nissan in atl. Warranty approved the repair at a $4200 pricetag.... the tranny came in today and now the stealership is telling me, that it will take 18 hrs to complete the work and the warranty co says it only should be 8.1... The Warranty co. said they use the Alldata book for rates and there is no way unless it is a total overhaul that it should take that long. Now I called a couple other shops and they are saying it depends if the car has slip something, since I haven't had the car long I don' t know. but if it does then it can take up to 17.5 hours... I need some advice before I go back up to this stealership and argue my case or is it not worth it and I should just say f%$k it and pay the difference?

Do you have traction control? That whatthey may be talking about. It is a button next to the heated steering wheel button, i believe. if it nots that one then its the one between the heated seats button.

Seem like capital nissan needs to talk with the warranty co. The amount of time is irrelevant if transmission is covered.

Thats what i said, and the chick at capital was like, well she deals with warranty co all the time and they usually want to get out of paying the full amnts and they leave it on the cust. WTF So i'm about to go down there and have them show me what book they are using to get their labor rates from $110 hr. i think she said.

Aftermarket warranty company has their own rates/hrs. Perhaps Alldata is their info provider. Read the fine print on your contract. They are not going to pay dealership rates, and there is nothing you can do about it.
My shop wouldn't even touch a repair being handled by an aftermarket warranty company. We would turn the job away. To much work and never enough money.

ok, just got back... Well looks like the warranty co would not budge on the fact that alldata says it only takes 8 hrs to replace a tranny... Capital said they overcharge for labor due to the warranty co never wanting to pay for full labor... So after telling them that I was going to have the car towed to a Mr.Transmission to have it fixed for cheaper, they somehow came up with a way to cut 3 more hours off the labor....lol So I have to pay:
flush - $235.00 (done when i dropped the car off last week, had low and dirty fluids)
deductible - $100.00
labor - $220.00
Total: $550.00
I guess thats not bad since the tranny was like $2400

hope you are learning your lesson and next time what ever make of car you have always get the warranty from the same company. It maybe a bit more but when comes time to pay you will always be ahead because that $500+ that you think is ok that you ar paying should have been a $200 deductable which is the highest i think you can get from nissan, but all water under the bridge now. Hope everything else works out.

don't take it to the dealer to have fixed. find a shop that will cover parts and labor for what the warrenty co is willing to pay. also nissan will only warrenty their work for 12months or 12k miles. there are many other tranny shops that offer 36 months 36k miles on their work. trust me when i say the new tranny will break within 2 years .
