just throwing an idea out there

I was brainstorming the other day on exhaust options for the max and was wondering if there was any way to get the same sound of a 350Z stock exhaust on the maxima, or if that doesnt seem plausible does anyone have any suggestions for a nice sounding, noticeable but not ricer-ey fart can sound I could get from aftermarket exhaust?

I was thinking cause I know someone that's replacing their 350 exhaust and I may be able to get my hands on the cat-back. But I don't know much about this kind of thing so I have no idea if I could make it work..

any input it greatly appreciated!

Alot of people have tried but have only come close. Don't know exactly with the 6th gen, but I know alot of people have asked.

Key reason's why:
-Different IM/TB setup
-Everything is layed out completely different on the exhaust

The 350z has a different engine block as well and a few other major key differences

Just buy the nismo catback and trust me you will get the same sound. That's what I have on my Maxx and I love the sound...just like the 350 z and the G35...

You can throw that idea back out of having a 350z exhaust

Cattman headers + Cattman cat-back or Nismo cat-back=profit. Pair all of that with a CAI, SSIM, IMS, a tune and that = more profit. Oh ya, this will require a couple thousand dollars not including install.

Unless you have equal length headers then no, not even close.

When I got my headers on my car, that was the closest I have heard to the Z. Ill be going to single exhaust soon, so that may be even closer in sound.

im so sick of seeing threads about "350 sounding exhaust" you will never be able to make it sound just like it... they are 2 different cars... with two TOTALLY different setups from head to toe!

I have dont most of what dan/prjctmax has said and my car still does not sound like it ...Granted i have not done the headers yet... <<<<< it will sound soooooooo mean LOL ...

Okay, he wants to make it sound as close to possible..Go ask on the g35 and my350z forums..They will tell you exactly how and why there exhaust sounds how it does..More information on there..I feel like its possible to get close with the right information, and less hating.
