Do you like your stock Navi?

So im looking to buy another Maxima, you might have seen my other posts. Is the stock navi worth the extra money, and do you still get an aux input with the stock navi? Is the stereo still Bose with the Navi?

If you could pick up the stock nav used for cheap Id say do it for the clean factory look, however; its just not worth the money to buy it outright, you can get plenty of touch screen double din units with nav for less then the factory setup.

if you buy an 07-08 maxima, i would say get the Navigation.

only because if gives you the option to add a 7" monitor to your control unit.

If you dont plan on adding a monitor, then dont bother with the Nav option.

Any of you guys know if I still get an aux input with the Navi? And its still a Bose system right? What do you mean by adding a monitor, like for movies and stuff?

all 07-08 comes with Aux input.

Bose system sounds better than non-Bose.

If you get the AVIC F90BT, you will need to get a double din kit
http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=11012

But if you get the Nav option for 07-08, you can remove the factory screen and place a 7" monitor screen and connect it to your AVIC device. So you will have 2 screens in your 07-08.

But if you get a 04-06, that nav screen is standard, it comes in all of the 04-06 models. Nav may not be available, but the screen will.

I just like Bluetooth, USB, SD slot Ipod Nav, Voice Recog etc on the after markets units. It just seems you can do more for the price.

I would def get the stock navi. Much cleaner look than having an extra unit on ur windshield. I have used it probably 20-30 different times and I have no complaints. The bose system is great. I am upgrading it with a subwoofer in the truck for some added bass. Good luck

Windshield?????? A double din replacement aftermarket radio with navi would be better with more options and probably cheaper.

i wouldnt go with the stock nav simply cuz its a waste of money... for me personally i know all the placez i go 2 so i dont need any directionz... as far as the aux input all 07 and 08z come with it.. i got a 08 se... and yes you can get bose system without the nav cuz i have that exact set up... if you really need directionz just get like a garmin or a tomtom and you should be ight.. it dont need to be mounted on winshields.. just put it on your lap

stock nav is nothing to write home about. basically any aftermarket gps will be better. just get yourself an AVN! you'll be happy!

If you can pick up a used car w/Nav that is the way to go. The original buyer pays the premium for the option(s) and the next buyer generally picks up the options for cheap. Stock Nav integrates well into the dash.

Stock NAV is much more than driving directions on 07-8. Most options (headlight on/off, entry/exit, unlock, oil life, etc.) can now only be programmed through the factory NAV. Still costs too much IMO though...

On the 04-06 it's the same thing? And if a person does not buy a NAV option those functions will still be entered through a display screen where the NAV would be located. I have a factory NAV and love it!!!

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7-10026527-48.html If I had the cash I would have purchased this. This unit is simply the best on the market. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a gps system to consider this one. If you go to yahoo and put "Blaupunkt TravelPilot 700" in the search bar then you will see a video on youtube. This unit displays what's ahead and has a built in system that recognizes road signs and what not to help in navigating.
