Besides seafoam can also be use in vacuum line and in engile oil, who will do the best job if looking for only gas treatment out of BG44K and Seafoam?
I have used BG44K before and results were fine I guess or may be not noticeable to me but only to my car.

Finally decided to seafoam my 04 Max SE with 89K on it. Added 1/3 into full tank and 1/3 into the intake (or manifold, whatever it is, but the same place as in the video). Yet to do the crankcase.
I took my sweet time while adding it to the intake, was afraid the car will stall. Probably twice as long as in the video. Waited about 10 minutes after that. Ran the engine while parked at about 4000 rpms, saw some smoke coming out. But can't say it was very smoky. Than drove it on and off the highway going up to 100 mph for 10 min or so. The results - barely noticeable if any. Looks like it drives at slightly lower RPMs, that's about it.
The car never saw anything other than 93 octane and the last 3 tank refills I was using Lucas treatment. I guess my car is not in a such bad shape after all. Or I did something wrong and that's why don't see any results. But the good news - no check engine light.

Don't forget to dump the oil and don't judge results by the amount of smoke being produced as a result of the treatment. If after an $8 dollar can of SeaFoam improves something on your ride it was a good investment. This is not a horsepower increasing product but a preventative maintenance product for a smoother running engine.Originally Posted by ubersl

I just seafoamed my car this past weekend, and I dont know if I was the only one wondering the easiest way to get the liquid in the intake manifold since I couldnt find a funnel small enough. Well, I found an easy solution...went to home depot and got 1/4 in tubing, 2 dollars, and went to kragen and got a 2 cycle mixologist injector thing. The injector was very helpful in controlling the amount going into the intake, and didnt stall once. Hope this helps at least one person out there!

Put the filter in with the arrow goes down.

If using a Nissan filter the arrow goes up, if using and after market filter the arrow goes in the direction of airflow which is down.Originally Posted by nene503

You can also remove the opposite end of the hose and pour the seafoam in a cup and let the hose suck it up like a straw and not purchase anything!!! Originally Posted by Trainer

sparks said, "ok if your not running nitrous."
what does he mean by that, and I was also concerned about fouling up my brand new NGK iridiums.
has anyone looked at there plugs or had problems with this after treatment??

I understand that much or my question would be, "how do I do this."
simply put, I am curious about the questions I asked in the last post.
is there anyone that has any input on this??

Well you're in luck, I have NGK cold plugs and I recently started an engine rebuild due to a failed leakdown test, when I pulled the IM off and removed the plugs, they looked great and I was somewhat surprised since I've had them in over a year with 20K miles and a smaller gaping since I'm Boost. From my other experience and knowledge of Seafoam, I don't think you will have any issues!Originally Posted by tonedef

ok, thank u..
i appreciate it.
I too am running a smaller gap, but I am spraying nitrous.
this was my concern with the comment about not doing this if you are spraying.
if anyone knows the reason let me know.
thanks

This is the 1st time I seafoamed my max at all 3 places. I've used it before in the gas tank and in the oil, but never put it into the intake manifold.
It smoked about like the video, definately ran smoother, and I changed the oil this past weekend and the stuff that came out was as black as the tires. After putting some fresh synthetic oil and a new filter in, I noticed it ran even smoother. Definately like the results (I have 105k on mine).
Would this serve any purpose in the ATM (IE, get me my money faster for less fees? j/k)? I was going to get my trans. flushed soon.

does this make your transmission smoother between gears? i'm going to be doing this soon because i doubt it's been done and my car has about 42k on it....
i noticed you said "how can seafoam hurt" i thought that was interesting and arose my next question,
with older cars such as my friends 95maxima... for a simple hunch i'm going to say people did the bare minimum maintaining the car. but you know the "gunk" that some say keep your tranny together. is this along the same lines with an older car using seafoam?
I'm not saying the tranny will be effected but just curious if it can hurt a car thats never really been maintained well... just a thought.

hey chern, do you think you can use the seafoam on a tranny flush too? or do you think that will damage the screen?

I've started my second flush of the tranny fluid since I got the car. Didn't seafoam it, but am just curious. The switch from dino to syn makes it drive like a new car tho
Right now I'm about 1/3 syn/dino mix.Member
Love the video Chernmax, very informative...Did the seafoam yesterday and the car runs great..thanks for the info about not using it on the flush

You're welcome and don't forget to get an oil change soon. The oil normally will look about as black as Satans Heart so since you're dumping it, that's a good thing...

I bought two cans of seafoam. I dumped one whole can in the intake, same place as chern, and I dumped the other can in the gas tank with about 1/4 tank of gas. I started it up and wow it sure does smoke. I am gonna let it sit until dark and then start it up and run it. Ill let u know how it runs.

For those of you having trouble with putting the seafoam in the intake, they make a spray.... lol... looks like this http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...%7CGRP2035____ . Also 4 those of you who are lazy or just don't have the time, Walmart's auto center does it for 19.95
I went to Walmart to see if it was cheaper there, but they didnt sell have it th. i got it at Pep Boys for $10 per bottle and i put two bottles in.
