Not unless you ditch the front brakes. 17" minimum to clear.

Yeah, you are probably gonna have to go with 17s, as eluded to by oldngivout.

Those were the smallest rims I could get for my winter tires that would fit on the car.

I want to run the hoosier drag radials for when I go to the track.

Looks like it isn't possible though. Damn these big brakes

I just saw on Hoosier's site they have 275s in 17s. But you would probably need to roll your fenders for something that wide. Even if, that's still a lot easier than swapping your brakes. I would have to agree with fastmax tho. you dont need the slicks yet, get some other mods first.

Do I have to have mods on my car before I go to the track?
Didn't know that was a new rule.

Yeah, I have seen those, but they are probably a little too wide. Definitely would be easier than swapping brakes though.

If you want to make good times... duh! unless you're shooting for stock times, 16secs.

A stock 6th gen can do high 14s easily. I know I did (see sig).

Save yourself some grief and hit the track the way you are set up now. If you can't hook up, look into some slicks. Unmodded, you should be fine without slicks.

I don't know what you're smoking
I have seen a couple maximas run in the 14 second range stock, and I have already beat a couple of 14 second cars on the street. Kevin runs 12.9 btw.

Of course I'm gonna hit the track before the tires. I would want to get a baseline, then try with the stickies.
Also, slicks will always help a stock car.

I hit 13.4-13.6 on street tires. I would also do better on slicks since I can spin the sh*t out of my BFG's but I'm not stock. For a stock are or light/medium modded Max, just go with drag radials verse slicks.

Ohh, you didn't say that but anyway I like Chern's advice on the drag radials. You will do fine with 17in wheels since it doesn't seem 16in will work with our cars.

When are you going to hit the track? Where do you live?

Obviously it wasn't nitrous only, I can read.

The tire that I was actually looking at was a "drag radial" but only had a couple of lines in it. It was basically a slick.

I'm gonna hit the 1/8 mile track soon. Don't have a 1/4 close to me that is even worth going to. I think I should be able to hit a 9.4, putting me around a 14.6 in the quarter.

I live in yorba linda, ca
