Where to program/cut a second key?

I got a spare key for my 2006 Maxima off eBay and I need to have it cut and programmed. I got a quote from a locksmith for $35 to cut, $35 to porgram, $70 total. Sound reasonable? I would think I can get it cut for like 5 bucks at Home Depot or something. I'll plan on calling around, but that seems pretty steap.

K, so it doesn't matter who cuts it, then right? Obviously Ace couldn't program it, I would just have to take it somewhere to get programmed.

I would prefer to go to Nissan.. Cause if they mess up programing or cutting it.. They'll fix it.. "You get what you pay for"

I got 1 cut and 3 programmed at the dealership for $70 including the key, It would have been the same no matter how many were programmed.

My local dealer waned $35 for the key and cut and $99 to program. YIKES! I'll be going to a locksmith. I've been getting quotes around $80 for the whole shebang. Too bad the key won't have the pretty Nissan logo.

I think I'm going with the Ace Hardware cut and the Nissan Dealership programming. Thanks for the tips.
