Installed new 3K HID fogs from Operatic. And KP independent fog module

I bought a kit from Operatic here on the org, the product looks great and the install was (almost) plug and play but easy none the less. I did end up dropping the bumper for easier access. I also installed the KPTechnology fog module so I can turn the fogs on by themselves using he stock switch by the headlights.

They are damn bright!!!

Fogs only (with the new KP module)

those look hella nice...what they look like on with your headlights on too?kinda amixture of colors I assume. I wanna do that! haha

I assume being HID conversion lights there is no need for resistors. They plug up like any other HID I would think.

KP Technologies makes all kinds of cool modules/fixes for cars. I spoke with Kevin the owner and got him a test car to make sure the fog module worked and it does. It is a bit more involved as far as install goes but I did it myself in a couple of hours...

You know I bought this a while ago, couldnt figure out how to install it (this was before the writeup) and then eventually I lost the module somewhere.

so are you saying the HID bulbs you got dont just snap and twist into the original fog light housing?

Yes but there are wires that go to the ballasts. I suppose a professional would use the rubber grommet they provide and cut a bigger hold in the cap, but I'm no pro!

When you drilled a hole in the cap, how big is the hole so the wires can run through them?

I personally cut the HID wires and threaded them through the OEM cap. I'd rather cut the wires than the OEM seal cap.

Yeah probably what I should have done. I made sure it was sealed up good though!!

how does this compare to the other thread of the DIY where i believe you just cut one wire and ground another to have the same effect? [cant find the link at the moment ... still searching for it]

Sorry, I thought you we're talking about the HID install not the fog module. I went with KP because that is what they do, and this module and the wiring is all set/cut to fit our cars.
