Installing new HID bulbs 2008 Maxima...question

hey guys im starting my mod process and first thing i wanted to do was switch out the fogs...

what's the easiest way to get to the Fog lights from the engine compartment? Or will I have to take the tires off and work from that angle?

thanks in advance...

jack the car up ( dont have to but makes it easier)

take loose the three screws on each side of the bumper on the bottom and move the fender liners out of the way and you should be able to get to the bulbs from there.

Do I have to take the bumper off completely?

dont have to. but i did, cause i work on cars and do it all the time so it wasnt a big deal for me.

it allowed me to place the ballasts in a nice hidden spot. but you should can install them just taking the finder liners back and out of the way.

I'm gonna be doing the same thing soon too dude. Only problem I have is buying two kits, (one for H3 & one for H11) since I have a 6th gen. Good luck on your mod, though.

I just upgraded my Fogs to HID and I ended up taking the bumper off, it is honestly easier than even jacking up the car etc...

And yes the info is there just look for it! (please)

I installed mine about 6 monthes ago for both the headlights and fog lights.. I found it much easier to take the bumper off and have more room to wire and place your ballasts in a place you feel more secure.. I placed my four ballasts right underneath the grill which gets covered by your bumper guard and sits snug neats to the frame of the car.. Good luck with the mod though..
