Help w/ Nismo CAI Install

Anyone have any tips or tricks to make it easier to install a NISMO Cold Air Intake? Just figured I'd ask before I attempt to do it. Thanks!

Mine should be here on Monday, and then I can let you know. I installed a Fujita on my wife's Altima, and it was pretty straightforward.

just disconnect the battery before the install so that the ecu learns the new air flow... everything else is pretty much a piece of cake!

Got it installed and sounds awesome. Pulls harder as well. Only problem is now I've got "Check Engine" light on now. Any advice on how to get rid of that?

Did you disconnect the negative battery wire prior to disconnecting the MAF? If not you will throw a code. Disconnect it overnight and plug it back in, in the morning, should clear it just fine.

I disconnected it but it was after I had it apart. I thought as long as it was before I turned it on. Thanks for the info.

I know this thread was started a couple of years ago, but....I just got my 2004 Maxima last week and will be installing this intake in a week or two. I'm curious, how much did everyone pay for their intake? Mine was $250 on eBay.

I think the R2C intake is the way to go. For those of you that haven't bought an intake yet.

This is the first time I've uploaded pics, not sure exactly what I'm doing. If you click on the pic it will open it up in another window and be a little bigger. If someone knows how to do it better please let me know.

It was pretty easy, took about an hour. It came with detailed instructions with pics. The hardest part is taking the wheel well plastic loose to get to 2 bolts that hold the bottom part of the air box in. Other than that it's pretty straight forward.
