ok so just got a call about moms maxima. she just told me that her abs went out. her sl has 102k on it right now seems kinda soon for the abs to need to get replaced. she just had her rotors replaced last week. not really around her car like that but i know she doesnt drive the car hard like i would. so have anyone else have to change their abs. and if so how much would that run?

Mine went on my 04. The abs light came on and I was driving with no abs. Was replaced under warranty around $1K.

What do you mean when you say the ABS went out?
Is the light on? Most likely just a wheel speed sensor.
You just put rotors/brakes on the car, could have some contamination on the sensor.
Have the system scanned for ABS codes to see where the problem is.

If she is out of warranty and its the pump, sensors or anything ABS related, she will have to come out of pocket. Keep in mind that it wont be cheap.

how would u like it to happen at 40k when you are just out of the bumper to bumper and be told its $1500.

well im home driven the car and supposed to take it to the family mechanic since he spealizes in maxima. ill tell him what yall told me to check and hopefully it just needs to be cleaned
