leaking fuel damper

The fuel damper on my '04 SE is leaking - not a big leak, but enough to smell the gas inside the car every now and then. It looks like a simple fix, let off pressure to rail, unbolt old damper and install new damper + o-ring. However the geniuses at nissan decided to bolt the damn thing from the bottom. Is there an easier way to unbolt it without removing the entire fuel rail system?

a little off subject but why is there a ford mustang advertisement on this forum? I just don't get it. Sorry wish I had some useful input on this subject but I have the same issue just not worth my time to fix. So many other things on the list that this is practically at the bottom. I like the smell of gas anyway, helps remind me that I don't have a hybrid.

lol. well, I plan on tackling it this week so if I figure it out I'll post with pics

Mine's leaking enough that you can open the hood and see a puddle of gas on the IM below the damper
