Replacing HID Bulbs

One of my HID bulbs burned out so I decided to swap both at the same time. Seeing that the stickies are all efd up I was wondering if anybody has a write up or a scanned page showing how to remove the headlights to swap the bulbs without braking any brackets.

P.S The dealer wants $179 a bulb, buhahahahhaa

not enough room. I think the grill bumper has to be dropped and lights taken out to do a swap.

Also can someone confirm whether I need D2S bulbs or something else.

The HID bulb in the 6th gen is D2S. I'm not the one to ask about how to take the lights out. If it were a 5th gen, I'd have you covered, good luck!

I found a service manual, it's all in there. THanks for your help in confirming bulb type.

changing HID bulb

I read the manual about dissassembling the whole front end to change the headlite HID bulb, so I sent my wife in to the dealer and she was savvy enough watch them change it.
To change the passenger side bulb they took off the pass. side engine cover and pulled the windshield washer bottle out of the mount and laid it aside. Then they turned the wheel outwards and took out the front wheel well liner and seemed (from looking across the shop) to be able to change out the bulb from there.

I read online that all you need to do is take off a tire and go at it that way.
