My berk short ram came with the Apexi dry filter- one of the best...Personally with the heat shield this intake appears it will be the best option for the 6th gen...just my opinion.

You have any measurements? If they have a filter that will fit, you are golden...

slvr... don't get me started on Apexi... lol

The R2c intake will definitely be the best available for our cars.

Yeah not sure if I can get a group deal out of them... when I get the production model installed, I'll pester them a bit.

I'll be the first to agree that $300 is a lot for an intake, but this will be, without a doubt, the best intake you can get for the 6th Gen. I only wish it came out sooner so I could have spared myself the trouble of the Fujita. lol

man, 300 for an intake...then the filter element itself must be pretty steep too!

i have over well 60k on my AEM dry flow. it needs to be replaced asap lol. i might just get a K&N and call it a day.

spectra filter from Autozone. $20 fits 2 1/2 - 4 1/2 in tubes. They also have a racing filter just for track use which has allmost no filter material. I mean it's like a screen really just keeping out big material. I replace mine every 6 months. I have a short ram with a cold air combined. Not trying to thread jack, just giving temp fixes to filter replacements until items are available.

Yea my fujita is dirty/ grimy but ille wait another month and slap this new one on. The way I look at it is like the way I justified the cattman header purchase- money spent divided by the next 3-5 years I keep the car and the mod didn't cost all that much . I don't have car payments though so many others wouldn't view a $300 intake like I do.

It's gonna be $300? idk. Might be a lil out of my price range. Definitely work on a group deal!

Yeah they haven't been too forthcoming on a price. I did get "Maybe $250-300" out of them... lol

I'll see what I can do...

I am thinking it should. A test-fit of a production model would be necessary, but I doubt the area inside the engine bay where this thing goes is much different between 6th and 6.5 Gens.

I would have probably pulled better numbers if I went to the dyno with a new, working primary a/f sensor (since getting it replaced, the car definitely has more pull). But as it is, I have Cattman headers/cat-less y-pipe, Greddy SP2 exhaust, the pre-production R2c, NWP IM spacers/VIAS plate, Unorthodox lightweight (stock diameter) pulley. Pretty much all the performance bolt-ons available for our cars.

Yeah they are doing a bunch of stuff. I'll email Ed and Jason again to get their attention. They just released a sprint car filter too... I need to see this thing in person!

I just received my r2c replacement for the jwt popcharger in the mail yesterday... paid like 68$ shipped.. apparently they already made a direct replacement.. I will be combining these with a 3" maf, which z1 just sold out of so I have to go custom.. I could not wait any longer, bout to visit uprev in a couple of weeks... will see if I can get stock maf w/r2c and 3"maf with r2c numbers while on their dyno..

sorry to thread jack...

Sweet man... You're going to love that filter. I can't wait to see what setup you have put together once you get all the parts...

I should have some pics tomorrow of the production model for the 6th Gen tomorrow evening sometime. I'll be at R2c in the afternoon.

Everything's good to go... they had to tweak the heat shield a bit to get it to fit right and make sure it sealed up with the hood.

Of course, I forgot my stupid camera so I didn't take any pics. I still have the prototype on my car with the updated heat shield... Give them 3 weeks to get the tubes machined/tooled then they will be ready to ship.

They are wicked busy getting ready for SEMA in November. It's pretty nuts there now.

But they are in the final stages now!

Once MSRP is finalized, they will totally be willing to do a group deal. The exact details haven't been discussed yet, but I know I can convince them to give us a good price, the more orders we get...
